Chuck's Comments: This character is actually something of a Nick Fury type. Alone, he wouldn't stand a chance in combat with most of the other classes. With his team though, he can coordinate (Leadership skill and Voice of Command feat), and benefit himself from their presence (Teamwork, Esprit de Corps and Dedicated feats).

It's a character built on interacting with others. A social character. I like this aspect of a class based around Charisma.

forgive the stupid question (with switching jobs - I seem to have misplaced my Modern 2.0 file) - but are you tweaking the spell/magic system at all?

Realize this is perhaps a lower priority as modern acarna isn't a particularly popular genre (well - outside of Harry Potter and Buffy fans anyway)

Actually, I tweaked magic a little, but it's not a priority.

I made it a Cha based skill, since magic requires perks (to cast spells anyway) and the Star gets 4 perks instead of two, and since there were only 3 Cha based skills, it seemed a natural fit.

However, David Jarvis, of Reality Deviant press, seems interested in doing a magic supplement, so that might show up soon.

Still, I think the skeleton of a magic system in the book is sound, if inappropriate for high-magic modern settings.
