Here's some more monsters from the upcoming science fantasy setting, Fantasci, the elemental oozes.As you see, they're designed just like characters, only with some different feats made just for them.
All these feats will be fully described as well in Fantasci, making it easy as pie to make your own monsters.

Is Tank going to be the default class for most critters?
Not most. If you remember my horses from the previous example, the Warhorse was a Powerhouse, the Riding Horse was a Speedfreak and the Draft Horse was a Tank.
For Oozes, especially elemental oozes that weren't going to attack physically, Tank seemed an appropriate (and nasty) choice.
So it would all depend on what I think the Monster's roll was.
A dragon that worked behind the scenes, letting her followers perform missions for her while she slept in her lair, might well have the Star class, for example.
The only real "rule" I'm using so far is that a creature with below 3 Int. can't take a level in any mental class.
So no Ooze Brainiacs, unless somehow one has become much more Intelligent than normal.
