Supers20: a skill hero

So here's a character who relies completely on his skills and devices. I think this is a competitive character, even without a single Superhuman ability score power.

Yeah, he's basically a hard-ass soldier with a really wicked energy sword.

One thing about Supers20 that makes characters without a lot of superhuman abilities piled on a threat is the lack of powers that boost your Defense real ridiculously.

Even without a high Strength modifier to his attack rolls, this character can hit most supers of his level, and when he does, he inflicts a very significant amount of damage.

I was pretty happy with how he turned out. My players on the other hand...

How did they react when they faced Nick Fury Al La Ginsu?

The biggest reaction was when I dumped out a fat crown royal bag full of d4 after he hit one of them.

17d4 was the single most wicked attack any of them had ever faced.

It was pretty brutal, especially with him inflicting lethal damage.
