A personal note about personal notes

In Old School Magic I pull the curtain back on a few occasions, relating personal anecdotes on why I did what I did.

I consider this a bit self-indulgent. Consider it the power of not having a boss going to my head at last.

I actually think a lot of readers will be interested in reading why you have done what you have done and what has informed your choices.

I always considered such things a bit self-indulgent myself, but apparently I am ok with indulging myself on occasion!

I've been doing this more on Wargames lately. Including an introduction and occasional parenthetical asides that talk about why I did something or what was the inspiration for a certain element. I think the pdf rpg audience is geeky and committed enough to be interested in those kinds of "director's commentary".
